That could be done, but you might end up having to inject drivers to make the Broadcom NICs work properly with the non-Dell custom version. So right now there will not be any updates available unless you were to go to a native VMware ESXi version instead of the custom Dell ESXi that we used.

I emailed the consultant that helped install our SAN, vcenter and other stuff and below is his response which further confuses me. Does this mean it should've been installed initially? If I have to build another server to install VUM on where do I download this? I went back to the initial vsphere install files but the option for VUM isn't there either.
